The Homemaker program offers the arrangement, purchase, and ongoing case management of homemaker/home health services for elderly and/or disabled adults who require personal care in order to remain in their own homes. The program is funded through the Bergen County Division of Senior Services and with Peer Group Initiative Funds. This program is scheduled to cease operating in December of 2017.
Eligibility depends on several factors such as income, household size, resources, etc.
Monthly income limits for the Homemaker program are stated below. Income includes Social Security, Pension, earnings, dividends, interest payments, rental income, etc.
Single: $2,214 Couple: $2,715
Resource limits for the Homemaker program are below. Resources include cash, checking and savings accounts, stock/bonds, etc.
Individual = $40,000 Couple = $60,000
